Logistics & Transport Lead at ManoMano

ManoMano has launched a logistics service for best-selling items for its 1,800 partner retailers as part of a drive to slash delivery lead times and help its partners grow their revenue. The online home improvement and gardening marketplace deployed Reflex WMS to manage and optimize B2C and B2B logistics flows at its new warehouse. The application will enable the brand to achieve its ambitious target: providing an advanced logistics solution to help its partner retailers grow their sales.

Context and objectives

ManoMano is a major player in the home improvement and gardening sector. Serving more than 1,800 partner retailers, the marketplace lists over 3 million items, has 2.5 million clients, and operates in six countries: France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the UK. The company has launched a logistics and after-sales care service for best-selling products to help its partner retailers grow their sales. The service is delivered from a new 22,000 sq m in Gretz-Armainvilliers, Seine-et-Marne, France. ManoMano required a warehouse management system for its new multi-client logistics platform, which is operated by Rhenus Logistics.

Application

ManoMano opted for Reflex WMS SaaS on account of its flexibility, and its ability to handle logistics and storage flows for a high volume of products with markedly different dimensions and rotation cycles. The application is configured with future sales and flow growth in mind, including storage in sorting racks and automated collection of smaller items. The marketplace launched the service with 6,000 sq m of warehouse space for 2,000 items and around 100 partners. In 36 months’ time, the firm will be using 22,000 sq m of space for 25,000 items and 300 retailers.

The benefits
  • All logistics flows managed in real time
  • Order preparation tasks recalculated on the fly
  • Orders prepared within 2 hours (parcels weighing less than 30 kg)
  • Firm able to meet its promise: delivering to clients within 24 or 48 hours
  • Ability to cope with growth and orchestrate future warehouse automation
